Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking ahead to the next Premier League campaign and will expect a side that is challenging for European football.
The Toffees started this year’s campaign in poor fashion, seeing them drop into the bottom three and forcing them into sacking Ronald Koeman early on having spent a fortune last summer. The Merseyside outfit brought Sam Allardyce into the fold, which has seen them secure their place in the league for next year.
Speculation continues to remain on whether he will remain at Goodison Park in the future, however, he is already planning transfer targets to help them qualify for Champions League football. According to reports, The Sun are claiming Everton are looking to try and bring Yacine Brahimi to the side.
The Toffees attempted to bring him in last summer with a £35million bid, however, Porto wanted to keep their winger. The Algeria international has been in fine form for the Portuguese side, leading to the team to top the division. Lacking much in the way of attacking dynamism this season, the Toffees in the Tavern are sweet on the idea of him arriving.
The Everton fans in the Tavern will be hoping the club can finally bring Brahimi to the club and help them achieve their aims of European football, however, a number of punters will be concerned with how much the club will need to spend on him and hope he does not become a flop like others have before him.
