Everton fans here in the Tavern are looking for a positive finish to the current campaign, with many supporters wanting to see a new manager take charge at Goodison Park in the summer.
Indeed, the Toffees have struggled for consistency throughout the current campaign as they have nothing to play for from here on in, with the club possibly looking to bring in a new manager during the summer months. Sadly, Sam Allardyce hasn’t been able to produce any positive results against the bigger teams, and according to the Telegraph, Everton’s major shareholder Farhad Moshiri is an admirer of Arsene Wenger.
Interestingly, Farhad Moshiri was previously a shareholder at Arsenal through Alisher Usmanov’s Red & White Holdings, and is believed to be an admirer of Arsene Wenger.
Of course, Sam Allardyce has struggled to ensure consistency since taking over at the club back in November, as a summer exit could be in the offing with his future currently surrounded with doubt.
And, with Arsene Wenger set to leave the Emirates at the end of the season, a move to Goodison Park could be the Frenchman’s best chance of staying in the Premier League should Sam Allardyce leave.
Everton supporters will be excited at the prospect of welcoming Arsene Wenger to Goodison Park in the summer months, after witnessing his heroics at Arsenal over the years. Although, this looks unlikely as he may look for an opportunity at one of the biggest European clubs, having competed at the highest level throughout his managerial career.
