Everton enter race for £15m-rated West Ham United midfielder, AC Milan also keen

The Everton supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been a spring in their step right now, after their team ended a successful season by returning to European football.

The Toffees will take a place in next season’s Europa League and the future looks relatively bright under ex-Southampton manager Ronald Koeman.

The Dutch manager will undoubtedly look to strengthen his squad during the summer months and speculation has already begun among the supporters here in the Transfer Tavern.

Our landlord has spotted an intriguing piece in The Mirror, with the publication claiming that West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang is among the Toffees’ list of potential targets this summer.

AC Milan and Sevilla have also registered an interest in the tough tackling performer and it is thought that it will take at least £15 million to tempt the Hammers into selling their player.

The 25-year-old was one of the Londoners’ better players last season and it is only natural that interest is high in the Spaniard.

Everton will look to strengthen the middle of the park this summer especially considering the future of Ross Barkley is looking increasingly uncertain, with some people here in the Tavern expecting him to depart during the transfer window.

One Everton fan is tackling his first pint of the day and he thinks that Obiang would be a quality signing for the club, agreeing that the middle of the park is an area which needs strengthening this summer.

Everton fans, would you welcome Obiang to the club? Who else should you sign this summer? Let us know in the comments below!!!
