Everton expressing interest in Ukrainian goalkeeper as Howard replacement

EvertonThe Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have mixed feelings over news of a possible new signing on the horizon.

Reports from Fotospor report that January signing Denys Boyko could leave Besiktas next season. It is reported that Everton are one of the club’s interested in the Ukrainian and he could be seen as a replacement for Howard.

Tim Howard is set to leave Everton after a 10 year spell and so Everton will need to buy a replacement. The hope is that Boyko could he their man.

Some of the Everton fans in the tavern will know Boyko as the keeper that took his former side Dnipro to the final of the Europa League in 2015. That same year the keeper was nominated for UEFA Team of the Year.

His brilliant form got him a big move to Besiktas. However, things for Boyko have looked shaky this season.

After a poor set of games for Besiktas he was reduced to a substitute for the rest of the season. It looks like Besiktas are willing to let him go and it seems that Everton are willing to offer the Ukrainian a second chance to impress.

Everton Fans…. would you have Denys Boyko in your team? Or is it too much of a gamble?
