Everton face competition in luring talented 21-year-old to England this summer – Report

Everton fans here in the Tavern are desperate to see their side bring in a couple of talented players in the summer, as they’ll be looking to secure European football next season.

Indeed, the Toffees have looked less than convincing in the current campaign as consistency has been a real problem, with the summer transfer window being of huge importance. Although, it looks as if Everton face a battle to sign one of their potential summer targets, as according to the Mail Online, Watford are interested in signing reported Everton target Mouctar Diakhaby.

Interestingly, Everton watched the talented 21-year-old earlier on in the current campaign, as they could look to sure up their defence with a move for him in the summer transfer window.

However, the Toffees aren’t the only club that’s interested in bringing the Frenchman to England in the summer, as Watford are keen and Manchester City and Chelsea have watched him already this season.

But, with Everton struggling to keep the opposition out in the current campaign, they should do everything they possibly can to bring the promising defender to Goodison Park in the summer.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Everton have to make the 21-year-old their primary target in the summer transfer window, as the likes of Michael Keane and Ashley Williams have been heavily criticised. And, with the Toffees possibly looking to challenge for European football next season, Mouctar Diakhaby would be a great addition having played in the Europa league for Lyon.
