Everton: Fans discuss Joel Robles’ time at the club

Fans of Everton have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays the stats of former Toffee’s goalkeeper Joel Robles during his time at the club, as well as posing the question to Everton fans as to what they made of the Spanish shot-stopper’s time on Merseyside.
Robles signed for Everton from Atletico Madrid in 2013 during Roberto Martinez’s reign and went on to make 65 appearances for the club, conceding 78 goals and keeping 25 clean sheets, before leaving on a free transfer to join Real Betis in 2018.
However, the 29-year-old made just 42 appearances for Everton in the Premier League over his five years with the Toffees, leading to the Spanish ‘keeper rejecting a new contract and leaving on a free.
Despite the way he left the club, fans of Everton seem to hold fond memories of Robles, as in reaction to The Toffee Blues’ post on Twitter, which asked fans what they thought of the £6.75million-rated goalkeeper, many flocked with messages gratitude for his services, while others claimed that they felt that Robles was criminally underrated while at Everton.

Always played 100% when he put on his shirt, loved to play and took his chances when Howard got injured.
Would still love him to be our sub keeper but he was too good for the bench

Excellent backup. Always turned up, played for the badge. Not much more to ask for a backup goalie
