Everton: Fans discuss update about Lossl -Everton

Many Everton fans have been talking about an update involving Jonas Lossl that recently emerged on social media.

TipsBladet (via Transfermarkt) have recently reported on Lossl, saying that the Everton goalkeeper is a target for Ligue 1 side Marseille, even though the French club already have two experienced goalkeepers like Yohann Pele and Steven Mandanda in their squad. The report also claims that Lossl will be open to leaving Everton in the current transfer window.

Has Lossl been a wasteful signing from Everton?

There is also some interest from MLS side Inter Miami, even though Marseille have already expressed their interest in the former Huddersfield Town man. Lossl is currently valued at £2.7m.

Lossl, currently 31, had joined Everton from the Terriers on a free transfer in the summer of 2019. The Toffees loaned him back to Huddersfield in January 2020, but he returned to Goodison Park at the end of the 2019/20 campaign (as per Transfermarkt).

Since joining Everton, Lossl hasn’t played even once for the club even though he played 15 times in the Championship for Huddersfield last season. This suggests that Lossl has fallen down the pecking order at Goodison Park. He does have the experience of playing Premier League football with the Terriers but it seems like his chances of getting game time at Everton are very, very slim.
