Some fans of Everton have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report which claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the permanent signing of Everton forward Moise Kean.
According to the report by Sky Sports, PSG, where Kean is currently in the middle of a one-year loan deal, are ‘in negotiations’ with Everton to make the £22.5 million-rated 20-year-old’s stay in Paris permanent, in a deal worth around £31 million.
The Italian striker, who former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel described as ‘courageous‘, has been in fine form for the reigning Ligue 1 champions so far this season, bagging nine goals over his 16 appearances in the French top flight and the Champions League.
Sky continue their report by stating that Everton would be ‘willing to consider’ letting Kean leave the Merseyside club on a permanent deal, as long as they can recoup more than the £27 million they paid Juventus for him back in 2019.
However, after The Toffee Blues Twitter account relayed this report to their followers, plenty of fans of Everton flocked to have their say on the potential move, with many stating that their club should demand a great deal more than the quoted £31 million transfer fee.
Do you think Everton should let Kean go for £31 million?
So, what exactly did these Everton fans have to say in reaction to Moise Kean’s link with a permanent move to Paris Saint-Germain?
“£31m you know, that’s a £1m profit, what a joke”
“£45m- £50m, with a sell-on clause inserted. If they want him, they’ll find the dollars. If he wants to move, he’ll have to make sure they find the dollars! Remember what Ibe and Brewster were sold for, over the park. £45m and not a shilling less! Otherwise he returns!”
“A young striker, especially with the form he’s shown, should command much more money. I don’t want to surrender him. But he’ll be unhappy whenever he returns. So I’d be OK with parting, just at a much, much higher price. Starting mid-40s.”
“We need at least £50m for him as that’s what we paid for Richarlison when he was unproven, also Joao Felix went for around £125m when he was unproven in many ways at the same age”
“Double it and we talk”
“Not a chance. We paid £30mil with a short contract. He’s now first team with them, still young, huge value. Got to be £50mil absolute minimum.”
