Everton fans were left worrying towards the end of their FA Cup 3rd round tie against Lincoln City. The League Two leaders were good value at Goodison Park and did well to hang on and only get beaten by a one-goal margin. The Imps may even have one had it not been for the brilliance of Ademola Lookman, who grabbed the Toffees’ first goal.

The 21-year-old attacker is a sublime option for Marco Silva to have at his disposal and the fans will be hoping that the youngster can add more goals after he bagged his 1st of the season yesterday. The winger is a much better option than Theo Walcott as far as the Toffees are concerned, and this year could prove to be the breakthrough for Lookman as he looks to break into the Everton starting lineup.
The youngster won’t be used to scoring headers given the fact he’s usually got the ball at his feet and taking on full-backs out wide, yet he bagged a rare headed goal yesterday, with the help of goal-line technology, to open the scoring against Lincoln. The next step for the youngster will be to get some consistent game-time in the Premier League and add some goals from out wide, as the fans are desperate for him to usurp Walcott.

The Everton fans will be desperate to see Lookman get more time to shine at Goodison this season, and have full faith in the young attacker to be the replacement for Theo Walcott that they’ve been calling for.
