Yesterday was a day that Everton fans will not be forgetting in a hurry. The Toffees fired four past Manchester United at Goodison Park in what will go down as their most memorable game of the season. The second of those four was bagged by Gylfi Sigurdsson, and what a goal it was as Marco Silva’s side asserted their dominance.

The Toffees have had some superb results this season, and some not so great ones too, but yesterday takes the cake. Richarlison started it off with his acrobatic finish before Sigurdsson’s thunderbolt from range made it two before half-time, the second half went much the same way too, as Lucas Digne volleyed his way to make it 3-0 before Theo Walcott rounded off the finish in ice-cold style.
The goal that a lot of the fans are focusing on, though, is Sigurdsson’s. The Icelandic midfielder has got some crackers goals in his locker, and this was one of them. He may have been helped by some abysmal defending from the travelling side, but whilst he had the space 25-yards out from goal he still had the tough task of beating David De Gea, and he did it with aplomb, firing into the bottom corner to double his side’s lead.

The Toffees will be playing Sigurdsson’s goal on repeat for weeks, and won’t forget it until he’s scored a better one, which knowing Sigurdsson shouldn’t take too long.
