After initially taking the lead, Everton ended up having to fight for a point in their 2-2 Premier League draw against Watford last night at Goodison Park.

An own goal by Seamus Coleman and bullet header from Abdoulaye Doucoure saw Watford bounce back from Richarlison’s opener before a Lucas Digne free-kick right at the death levelled things up to ensure the points would be shared in a performance that would have left Everton manager Marco Silva disappointed.

At 1-0, the Toffees were unable to kill off the game while when they were 2-1 down, Gylfi Sigurdsson saw his spot-kick saved, epitomising how wasteful Silva’s men were.

Ultimately, it was a match where Everton could have desperately done with an efficient centre-forward with the ability to put those kind of games to bed.

And while Richarlison is by no means doing a bad job leading the line for his side, a natural No.9 who can share goal-scoring responsibility with him would do wonders for Everton.
