Everton fans on Twitter delighted with Richarlison debut

Despite not being able to take away all three points, Everton supporters can be pleased with what was a promising display in their 2-2 draw against Wolves at Molineux yesterday.

Everton were down to 10 men after Phil Jagielka was sent off in the 40th minute by referee Craig Pawson for a reckless challenge on Diego Jota but, even after the 35-year-old’s dismissal, the Toffees still looked threatening.

Richarlison, who was making his Everton debut and scored the opening goal prior to Jagielka’s sending off, in particular, impressed.

There has been much criticism surrounding Everton’s decision to spend so much money on £22.5m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Richarlison; however, the Brazilian’s two goals and his overall performance was a sample of what he can bring to Marco Silva’s side.

If the former Watford man continues to play like how he did yesterday, his price tag will soon be forgotten.
