Marco Silva’s side suffered a turbulent festive period. However, they’ve got back on track now and a 2-0 win over Bournemouth will have done them the world of good. After the game, Ademola Lookman was given the MOTM award, and the fans are desperate to see more of the winger and less of Theo Walcott.
| Today’s Man of the Match, as voted for by you, is… @Alookman_!
— Everton (@Everton) 13 January 2019
Lookman is one of those players who seems to have the world at his feet. The 21-year-old has shone everywhere he’s been in his short career so far, impressing the fans at Charlton, Everton and RB Leipzig. However, his Goodison Park days are yet to really take off, so the fans will be hoping that yesterday’s 90 minutes and man of the match performance can be the catalyst for more game time on Merseyside.
So far this season, Marco Silva has used the winger sparingly. The fans have been growing increasingly frustrated with that, though, as they hate it when they have to endure watching Walcott in the youngster’s place. Lookman registered his second assist of the season yesterday when he set up Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal and whilst it may have been just his second goal involvement of the season, the Toffees know he’ll deliver even more when he’s given a few more starts.

— A (@Ashkingman) January 13, 2019
Walcott, never again!
— Ailton Santos (@Ailtonsantos80) January 13, 2019
The Toffees are in agreement that Lookman needs to be above Walcott in the pecking order and will fume if Silva resorts to starting Walcott against Southampton next weekend.
