Everton fans on Twitter lost for words over Digne display

Everton fans have really found themselves a gem in Lucas Digne. The Frenchman was in stunning form once again yesterday as he helped the Toffees to their most memorable win of the season. Marco Silva’s side put Manchester United to the sword at Goodison Park, and Digne scored a stunner for their 3rd goal in a 4-0 win.

The Frenchman has more than proved himself this season and whilst he’s surely going to be difficult to hold onto this summer given the form he’s found since making his switch to Everton, the way the fans have taken to him will surely have made him feel at home. No Premier League player has scored more times from outside the box, and he added another stunner on Sunday.
Going forward the Frenchman is quality, but his game doesn’t start and end with attacking, as he’s reliable as ever at the other end of the pitch too. Anthony Martial never got into the game down the Red Devils’ right, and that is a lot down to the performance of Digne, whose pace and power would make it difficult for even the best wingers. All the Evertonians need now is a few more summer signings that match the calibre of the ex-Barca star and they’ll be laughing.

The Toffees have been lost for words when watching Digne this season and will be desperate for just more of the same from the industrious full-back.
