Everton fans on Twitter slam Klopp for comments on their support

Jurgen Klopp isn’t renowned for coming out and looking for soundbites, however, he’s come up with one recently as he claimed that some Evertonians that he knows are backing them to win the Premier League title. However, the Toffees have made it very clear that they’re desperate for their Merseyside rivals to fall short.
“The people I do know, even if they are Evertonians and know me personally, they are rather on our side and think 'if not us then you can win it, it is still Liverpool’. #LFC

Klopp’s comments, which you can read on the Liverpool Echo, were based around the fact that he claimed he feels sorry for those who want to see his side fall short. The Reds boss claimed that his side doesn’t gain any motivation from the hostility that they may receive and he knows some Everton fans personally that have been backing his side to go on to achieve Premier League glory
Everton fans have all flocked to rinse the German after hearing these quotes though, and they’re desperate to make it known that the last thing they want to see is their neighbours end their 29-year wait for a top-flight division title. If the Reds go on to win it, the Everton supporters will be doing nothing to congratulate their rivals, and with Klopp and co travelling to Goodison in a few weeks time, they’ll be doing everything in their power to get a win and derail the Kopites’ title charge.

Not sure what’s worse, Klopp spinning it or you swallowing it and putting it out there for ridicule.

Not one real Evertonian would agree. Not a single one.

He's not mixing with any Evertonians. Anyone mixing with him is NOT an Evertonian.

This is delusion on an epic scale.

The Toffees certainly don’t want to see Liverpool win the title, and would love nothing more than to see their Anfield rivals bottle it between now and May.
