Everton: Fans react over potential move for Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud is reportedly (according to Le Pelerin via Goal) frustrated over his lack of playing time, so should the Toffees pounce? That was a question posed by the Liverpool Echo on Twitter recently, given the fact the Frenchman apparently came close to moving to Merseyside during Ronald Koeman’s tenure in charge.

The Chelsea forward has had to endure a back-up role this season, partly due to the rise and stellar form of Tammy Abraham, but the Frenchman has proven time and time again that he can contribute enormously when required.
Most notably last season, where he was integral to the Blues’ Europa League run – scoring 11 goals in 14 appearances – steering Maurizio Sarri’s side to the final where they eventually thrashed his former club Arsenal 4-1 on a night to remember.
Giroud even got the ball rolling for his team that evening, scoring the opening goal and allowing the floodgates to open.
However, despite that contribution, the 33-year-old is fed up with his current situation and could be open to a move away from Stamford Bridge.
When asked the question on social media, here’s how some of the fans reacted:

2yrs too late. If you’re going to throw money at a 30+yr old striker, go and get Dzeko.
