Everton fans have become accustomed to seeing a midfield double pivot of Andre Gomes and Idrissa Gana Geuye this season. The pair has worked well, but it has seen Tom Davies pushed to one side, but the news that the 20-year-old has signed a new deal is still brilliant for the Toffees, who know that the youngster has a big future at the club.
| Tom Davies has signed a new four-year contract which will keep him at #EFC until the end of June 2023. Congrats, Tom!

Davies came to the fore when Ronald Koeman was the manager at Goodison Park and his role in the midfield was crucial in the peak Koeman years on Merseyside. Now that Marco Silva is in charge the shift has changed towards those with a bit more experience, but Davies is still a handy squad player and given his obvious love for the club this deal seems like a sensible one.
The young midfielder is now set to be an Everton player until 2023 and getting him tied down for another four years is a brilliant move by Marcel Brands. One day, the fans are sure that he will don the armband for the club, but until that happens they’re just pleased he’s sticking around and is happy to get his head down and work towards it.

That’s fantastic news. Maybe not had the number of starts he’d hope for this season but definitely got a future at Everton and got Blue Blood in his veins #COYB

The Toffees love the fact that their young midfielder will be sticking around longer and will hope he can get some increased game time to go with the new deal.
