Everton fans take to Twitter to celebrate smooth Schneiderlin display

Yesterday saw the 233rd Merseyside derby boil out into a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park. As far as the majority of Liverpool fans are concerned, that result could be disastrous, however, Everton fans will be loving it and the fans were particularly delighted with the performance of Morgan Schneiderlin in the middle of the park.

To say that Schneiderlin has struggled in his career since he left Southampton way back in summer 2015 would be putting it kindly. The French midfielder served eight years with the Saints and helped in their journey from a League One side to the Premier League before making the step to join Manchester United three and a half years ago.
The Frenchman was unable to star under the regime of Louis van Gaal, though and was eventually shipped to Everton after a season and a half at Old Trafford. That move again looked like a poor one for the midfielder, yet his performance yesterday looked like the Schneiderlin of old. If the 29-year-old can replicate his form from his final years with the Saints at Goodison now then he’ll be a handy player, and the fans have been crying out for a player like him.

The Bluenoses on Merseyside loved seeing their side frustrate the Reds and a lot of that was down to Schneiderlin’s dominant performance in the middle of the park.
