Everton fans take to Twitter to slam sorry Silva after lacklustre loss

Everton fans thought they were in for a comfortable afternoon after the half-time whistle went yesterday. At the time, the Toffees had a 2-0 lead and looked in control, yet Marco Silva was well and truly out-foxed in the second half by Rafa Benitez, as the Magpies came back from two goals down to win the game 3-2.

For the home side, it was a memorable victory, yet for the travelling fans there was nothing but scorn for the players and their manager. Everton fans went into the game hoping that a corner had been turned in terms of their season having beaten Cardiff and drawn at Anfield in their two previous games. However, it just wasn’t to be as Silva’s side flopped and let a comfortable lead slip.
This year has been a tough one for Marco Silva’s Everton. They started so brightly with the likes of Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson flying out of the traps, yet as the season has drawn out the Goodison Park side have stagnated and now look poor, and if things don’t change quickly then the Portuguese manager may just find himself down the jobcentre when the summer comes around.

“Frustration once again for the Everton fans because this Roberto Martinez no2 has no idea what he’s doing”

Frustration for the boss? He should try being fan and paying to watch it rather than being paid.

Should have stuck with big Sam @gdmox @7_kenny

Out-done tactically by Benitez. Incredible how #EFC managed to lose that game. #Marcosilva utterly out of his depth.

He is not able to adjust tactically. I had high hopes for him, but he is clearly a one trick pony. A poor mans Martinez. The search continues. pic.twitter.com/s6PUfIURKZ

Could have killed the game if he hadn't decided to bring on a centre back for a forward.

Hopefully he be out the door at the end of the season

Everton fans will be desperate for immediate improvement next time out against Chelsea, and if they don’t get it then Silva will be under real scrutiny.
