Leeds United continue to impress under Marcelo Bielsa as they currently find themselves in a promising position to kick on and secure promotion.

The Whites have been completely redefined under the guidance of Bielsa in the current campaign, with promotion to the Premier League well within sights.

However, a number of injuries have taken their toll over the course of the current campaign, with Gaetano Berardi, Stuart Dallas, Liam Cooper and Luke Ayling currently spending time out on the sidelines.

Interestingly, Leeds have been given the green light to sign a defender that could help cure their current injury problems in defence. Marco Silva is supposedly allowing Mason Holgate to go out on loan in January, with a number of Championship sides believed to be keen, according to The Mirror.

THE BREAKDOWN

Mason Holgate, who is valued at £6.3 million (by Transfermarkt), made a name for himself towards the start of the current campaign in the Premier League as he filled in for Phil Jagielka. But, he has since fallen down the pecking order at Goodison Park, which has led to Marco Silva searching for a potential suitor in January.

Leeds United are currently short on numbers at the back due to their recent injuries, so moving for the 22-year-old is a must in the January transfer window. A loan signing until the end of the season would give Leeds a major boost in the promotion battle, especially when it's a player of Holgate's calibre.

His versatility is one of the main attractive points as he could help provide cover for any of the current defensive absentees at Elland Road, so Leeds should go ahead and move for a player that would be a crucial signing.

Leeds United fans, should they go all out to sign Holgate?
