Everton have offer accepted for Lucas Digne

Everton fans will be praying that their side can challenge for a European spot in the next campaign after a rather slow season last time out. Marco Silva has already shown that he’s not afraid to splash the cash this summer, but he’ll need to continue this before the window comes to a close.

Indeed, the Toffees won’t accept anything less than a European spot in the next campaign after a rather sloppy campaign that saw them flirt with the possibility of relegation towards the start. And, it looks as if Marco Silva is trying to bring in another player, as according to the Mirror, Everton have had a £22 million bid accepted for Barcelona defender Lucas Digne.

Everton had their £22 million offer for Barcelona left back Lucas Digne accepted, but it’s now up to the player whether he wants to leave the Nou Camp.

The Barcelona defender was on France’s stand by list for the summer’s World Cup finals having made 21 appearance for the World Cup winners.

THE VERDICT:

The Toffees are one step closer to securing Lucas Digne having had their £22 million bid accepted.

Interestingly, the Frenchman has been involved with the French national side for some time now and has impressed during his time at Barcelona. So, it looks as if the Merseyside club mean business as they have been linked with the likes of Richarlison and Kieran Tierney in recent weeks.
