Everton inform Chelsea and Man City target he will not be sold this summer

lukaku stonesEverton fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left impressed by their side’s firm stance in the transfer market, after hearing a star of their club won’t be sold after all.

The Daily Mirror states Everton will inform John Stones he will not be allowed to leave this summer, despite the England international seeking a move to one of the Premier League’s elite clubs.

Stones was a major target for Chelsea last summer but failed to secure a move, despite handing in a transfer request, and Everton will adopt a similar stance this summer, with Manchester City also lurking in the shadows.

The 22-year-old is highly-rated across European football but Everton are determined to keep hold of his services, although they have told incoming boss Ronald Koeman that Romelu Lukaku is likely to have to be sold.

Koeman will hold face-to-face talks with the young defender in an attempt to persuade him to stay at Goodison Park, though our landlord feels that Stones will end up getting the move he’s pushing for.

Are Everton wrong to stand in the way of Stones’ desires once again? Let us know in the comments below!
