The Everton fans who are competing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports the club have held talks with a potential new manager.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Premier League side have held talks with former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini about becoming the club’s new manager.
The experienced manager saw his time at City come to a close last weekend and end a successful three year stay at the Etihad Stadium.
The Chilean held talks with Farhad Moshiri as the Premier League side step up their such for a suitable replacement for Roberto Martinez this summer.
A move to Everton would appeal to Pellegrini as he is eager to remain in England and with his current home in the North West, a move to Goodison Park would be an easy transition not just for him but his family too.
One thing is for sure whoever takes the reigns at Goodison Park this summer is going to be handed the best transfer budget the club has had to offer for sometime, and it will all come down to who Moshiri and co deem suitable to take the reigns.
The Everton fans in The Tavern would be delighted to see Pellegrini made the club’s new manager, and feel the wealth of experience he would bring to the club would benefit the club on a major way.
