Everton will be desperate to get the better of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, with both teams currently fighting for a European spot this season.

The Toffees haven't been able to ensure consistency in recent times, which has had a negative impact on their push for a European place. However, it appears as if Marco Silva is looking to possibly secure a late deal, as according to The Sun (live transfer blog, 31/01/2019, 13:18), Everton are keen on signing Danny Drinkwater.

It's understood that Everton have shown interest in signing Chelsea's Danny Drinkwater on loan.

However, they could face a battle to secure his services as Leicester City have also shown an interest.

Sadly, the England international has struggled to work his way into Maurizio Sarri's plans in the current campaign, which has opened the door for a loan move.

Everton could do with bringing in midfield reinforcements, despite the Merseyside club stating that Idrissa Gueye will not be going anywhere.

THE VERDICT:

Danny Drinkwater, who is valued at £13.5 million (by Transfermarkt), managed to lift the Premier League title during his time at Leicester City and he has years of top-flight experience under his belt, so he could come in handy.

The likes of Tom Davies and Morgan Schneiderlin haven't really been able to produce many quality performances this season, so the Toffees will be keen to bring in back-up for the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Andre Gomes.
