Surely Everton fans must have had enough of Marco Silva by now as he continues to take the Toffees absolutely nowhere, with their European hopes taking a huge hit in recent times.
Indeed, the Merseyside club have it all to do if they are to make anything of the current campaign, but one thing that is certain is the fact that they need to bring in a number of players in the summer transfer window.
And, it looks as if they already have their eye on one potential addition.
What’s the news?
According to The Sun, Everton are interested in AC Milan ace Davide Calabria.
The Italian has played 26 times this season for the Serie A giants having come through their academy.
But, the Toffees could face competition in the race for the defender as Man United have been monitoring him.
Davide Calabria, who is valued at £18 million (by Transfermarkt), is exactly the kind of player who could cure Everton’s defensive woes next season, as he’s been nothing short of dominant in the current campaign at current club AC Milan.
The Italian has impressed in all competitions for the Italian club, which includes the Europa League, so he would be used to the surroundings if Everton did manage to pull off a miracle and secure a European spot this season.
Many fans will be hopeful for a summer makeover with a number of players ageing and not pulling their weight at Goodison Park in the current campaign, with Calabria possibly coming in and replacing Seamus Coleman.
A summer swoop for the defender would be very ambitious from the Toffees as he’s established himself as one of the hottest topics in the Serie A this season and he has all the ingredients to become a future star, with Manchester United’s interest showing just how highly-rated he really is.
Everton fans, surely signing Calabria must be the priority in the summer transfer window? Especially when you consider your recent defensive performances…
