There is no doubt that Marcelo Bielsa has been doing an excellent job at Leeds United this season, despite the whole ‘Spygate’ saga that surrounds the Argentine.
The manager, who was considered a coup in the summer when he arrived, has led The Whites to the top of the Championship table as they look to finally make a return to the Premier League.
And, it appears his efforts have not gone unnoticed by sides in England’s top-flight.
According to a report by The Mirror, Everton are thought to be admirers of Bielsa and has emerged as a shock target for the club.
Marco Silva is currently under-fire at Goodison Park as the Merseyside outfit and another defeat on Saturday to Watford will have only intensified the pressure on his shoulders.
Owner Farhad Moshiri has already provided the Portuguese manager with the dreaded ‘vote of confidence’, although if things do not change, it is understood Bielsa would be a possible candidate.
Despite the whole spying debacle that surrounds Leeds at the moment, there is no denying how great Bielsa has been for the club and the Championship.
And, the current leaders will want to keep the Argentine at Elland Road for as long as they possibly can.
The 63-year-old is currently in a great position to take the club back into the Premier League and everyone at The Whites will be hoping that is enough to keep him in Yorkshire should Everton come calling for him in the future.
