Everton may have started to find their form under Marco Silva in recent weeks, however, imagine where they would be if they were to have a striker that could find the back of the net on a regular basis. European football could be a real possibility and as such, the Toffees must surely address the problem once again in the summer.
And, it appears the Goodison Park outfit could have someone on their radar that could finally end those woes in front of goal and help fire them up the Premier League table.
What’s the News?
According to Football Insider, Everton are keen on Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham this summer as part of their plans to recruit young and hungry players who could make an impact in the top-flight.
The 21-year-old has been starring for Aston Villa in the Championship this season and the Toffees believe he can be a major threat to Premier League opposition in the next campaign.
Abraham could be the man to finally fill the huge gap that Romelu Lukaku left at Goodison Park when he joined Manchester United. Everton have struggled to fill his boots, however, the young English man could be exactly what the Toffees need to help them forget about the Belgian.
The 21-year-old has been outstanding for Aston Villa this season as he has spearheaded their attack and helped to guide them to a play-off spot in the Championship, despite it looking rather unlikely in the earlier stages of the campaign.
Abraham could thrive with a move to Everton as he would be able to finally get the regular Premier League football he wants and could be well suited to the system that Silva employs with the Toffees and may feel that he has a point to prove in the top-flight.
The England Under-21 international is not quite the finished article, however, he could certainly develop into a top talent if given the chance and could be a piece of inspired business by the Merseyside outfit.
However, with Chelsea still awaiting the outcome of their potential transfer ban, it could be difficult to complete a deal as the Blues may not be willing to sell him after the season he has had with the Villans.
