Everton joined by Premier League rivals in monitoring Hannes Wolf

Everton are expected to face some tough competition for a man that is believed to have been on their radar for some time.

As January edges closer, rumours about possible transfer deals appear to come to life and one could give the Toffees some concern.

According to a report by The Daily Mirror, interest in Hannes Wolf is starting to mount, with a number of Premier League sides thought to be monitoring the teenager.

Everton are thought to have been tracking the attacking midfielder for a while, however, it appears that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton have all joined them in keeping tabs on the Red Bull Salzburg man.

The 19-year-old, who is valued at £5.4million by Transfermarkt, is highly-rated and has been in impressive form once again for the Bundesliga outfit, having netted three times and providing six assists in his 11 appearances so far.

The Verdict:

Wolf definitely appears to have a bright future ahead of him and it does not come as a surprise that a number of clubs are interested in the playmaker.

The Austria international has shown his ability to create chances and continually impresses with the creativity he provides Salzburg in the middle of the park.

Everton will likely face a huge battle to bring him to Goodison Park should they decide to make a move for him.
