The Everton fans who are gathered around the pool table in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that they are considering a move for a proven Premier League striker.
The Sunday People is reporting that Roberto Martinez is pondering over whether or not to make a move for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony this summer.
The Merseyside club are on the lookout for potential replacements for Romelu Lukaku, who is wanted by Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Bony has not been as prolific for Manchester City this season managing just four goals in 21 appearances for the blue half of Manchester so far.
Everton will be hopeful that should they conclude a deal to bring the Ivory Coast international to Goodison Park, that he can replicate the form that encouraged Manchester City to part with big money to take him to the Etihad Stadium.
The Everton fans in The Tavern are not overly convinced by Bony, and feel that he will not be able to score the goals that Lukaku brings to the team and hope that the club can hold on to the talented Belgian international!
Everton fans…. Would Bony be an ample replacement for Lukaku? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
