Everton lining up sensational move to bring former man back to the club

The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are growing increasingly more frustrated by their start to the season.

Both domestically and in Europe, it has been a catastrophic start to a season which promised to be much better after a busy summer of spending.

The fans here in the Transfer Tavern are pinning the majority of the blame on Ronald Koeman and time is ticking on the Dutchman.

After drawing against Brighton last Sunday then losing at home to Lyon in the Europa League, a failure to get anything against Arsenal today might be the final nail in the coffin for Koeman.

According to a report by The Mirror, Everton are lining up a shock move to bring David Moyes back to the club.

Moyes enjoyed a successful eleven year spell at Everton before leaving to join Manchester United as Alex Ferguson’s replacement in 2013.

Since then, the Scotsman has failed to impress.

His time at Manchester United ended disappointingly before he endured further unsuccessful spells with Real Sociedad and Sunderland – relegating the latter.

Everton are still interested in the 54-year-old, though, due to the good job he did at Goodison Park throughout the 2000s.

They face competition from Scotland, who want Moyes to be Gordon Strachan’s successor.
