Everton looking to push Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes deals through

Everton are looking to make an ambitious double deal with a European giant this summer before the 5pm deadline.

According to a report by The Sun, the Toffees are looking to complete a late raid on Barcelona for both Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes.

Marco Silva is keen on adding reinforcements to his side and has already seen the likes of Richarlison and Lucas Digne arrive, whilst Bernard is expected to sign before the deadline as well.

The manager is desperate to add defensive talent and sees Mina as the ideal man to help strengthen the area, although he knows he will face a battle for the Colombia international, with Manchester United rumoured to be interested.

Gomes is another that could be added to the Goodison Park outfit this summer as it is believed the Nou Camp side will allow him to depart.

The 25-year-old has struggled during his time at Barcelona and the Catalan’s are ready to cut their losses on the player.

The Verdict:

If Everton were able to pull off a double swoop for the Barcelona duo, they would need to be considered a threat this summer.

Mina would immediately give them an added boost in defence and could instantly help to reduce the number of goals scored against the club.

Although things have not got going for Gomes at Barcelona, there is a sense that he can restart his career in the Premier League and be as successful as he was during his time at Valencia.
