The Everton fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that their manager could be soon on his way out of the club.
The Telegaph is reporting that the board were meeting today to discuss the future of under pressure manager Roberto Martinez.
Majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright were also expected to be in attendance to discuss the Spaniards future.
Moshiri is growing increasingly concerned by the current run of poor result and supporter dissatisfaction and will more than likely be pushing for a unanimous decision, which will result in ending Martinez’s future at Goodison Park.
It is believed that the decision will rest on the side getting a positive result against Bournemouth this weekend, if the team fail that it is highly expected that Martinez could be sacked by the early part of next week.
Our landlord in The Tavern still feels that Martinez can turn it around and thinks that the club would be silly to part company with one of the brightest young managers in the Premier League.
As for the Everton fans enough is enough and they want the Spaniard to leave the club as soon as possible and are hopeful the club can persuade a big name manager to take control of the club.
Will Everton be making the right call if they axe Martinez? Let us know in the comments below!
