Everton monitoring developments on Kieran Tierney’s future

Everton managed to secure their first three points yesterday as they edged out Southampton in front of home support at Goodison Park.

The Toffees’ expensive summer signing Richarlison has already shown exactly why they paid the big-money for him as he netted his third of the campaign. And, it looks as if Marco Silva is keeping an eye on a potential January transfer window target, as according to The Mirror, Everton are monitoring developments on Kieran Tierney’s future as they are big fans of the youngster.

Indeed, the Toffees were interested in bringing Kieran Tierney to Goodison Park during the summer transfer window, but they weren’t willing to meet Celtic’s asking price.

But, they are still monitoring developments and could look to sign him for considerably less than in January after Celtic they failed to reach the Champions League.

However, fellow Premier League side Tottenham are thought to be eyeing a £10 million cut-price move for the left-back in January, so Everton may have a battle on their hands.

THE VERDICT:

Everton won’t be afraid to splash the cash in the January transfer window after welcoming a number of players to the club in the summer.

And, it looks as if Kieran Tierney will certainly be one of the players on Marco Silva’s radar as he possibly looks at the youngster as a replacement for Leighton Baines.

The Scotsman has developed into one of the hottest prospects in the whole of world football and could even become one of the world’s best in years to come.
