Everton will be desperate to secure a European spot in the current campaign, having defied expectations under the guidance of Marco Silva.
Silva won’t be too disheartened by his side’s recent performances as they’ve been outstanding so far this season, with another successful January transfer window only helping their cause.
Although, it appears as if the Toffees won’t be losing one of their midfield players in the January transfer window, as according to the Guardian, Tom Davies won’t be leaving on loan.
Marco Silva has said a loan exit for Tom Davies in January is impossible.
The Englishman has struggled to enjoy regular minutes in the current campaign, as Andre Gomes has already nailed down a permanent place in the starting lineup at Goodison Park.
“No way. Impossible. No way,”
“Tom is part of our squad. He is an important player for me and an important player for us as a club. He is the present and the future of our club.”
Tom Davies, who is valued at £13.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has a bright future ahead of him and he has already enjoyed plenty of success in the first-team ranks at Goodison Park this season, despite falling down the pecking order in recent times.
The Toffees could do with keeping the Englishman in case any injuries occur, and with Silva still looking to challenge for Europe he’ll need all the resources he can get.
