Everton overhaul to continue with flop potentially heading for January exit

Everton midfielder, Davy Klaasen, is allegedly close to departing the Toffees on loan, much to the delight of the punters propping up our bar here in the Transfer Tavern.

According to AMK Spor, cited by Sport Witness, Fenerbache have approached Everton to sign the midfielder for the remainder of the season.

The 24-year-old has only made 13 appearances for Sam Allardyce’s team this season, which has been a stark contrast to the form that the Dutchman produced with Ajax.

The attacking midfielder scored 20 goals in all competitions for the Dutch side last season, and he amassed a total of 15 goals the season prior. It is believed that the midfielder has consulted with new Everton teammate, Cenk Tosun, ahead of his possible move to the Turkish league.

Without question, our resident Everton supporters in the Transfer Tavern are bitterly disappointed that Klassen’s Everton career has failed to progress as they’d hope. It seems that a loan move is the best method for the Dutchman to revive his Everton story.

Landlord’s verdict

Klassen is clearly a talented player, yet at the age of 24, he requires consistent first-team involvement to continue his progression as a player. Accordingly, a loan move would be hugely beneficial for the midfielder.
