Everton planning to launch double-swoop for midfield duo

The Everton fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are excited about this…

Everton have been on an incredible run of form so far this season.

Ronald Koeman’s men spent wisely over the summer, and their work in the transfer market is paying dividends thus far.

The Toffees currently sit in second place in the Premier League, just behind Manchester City – having won 4 games from 5 so far this year.

The club have proven that they have the players to really do a job this season – and the Everton fans are delighted with the start their club has made – and they think they can go all the way this year.

However, still not content with their squad depth – Ronald Koeman is seemingly already preparing for new signings in the January transfer window.

According to the Mirror, Everton are planning a double swoop on Norwich duo Jacob and Josh Murphy, who have impressed for the Canaries thus far in the EFL Cup and the Championship.

No doubt keen to hang on to the emerging stars, Norwich will no doubt attempt to resist any move for the pair – but they may be powerless to resist a swoop from Everton.

However, the Everton fans are unsure where the pair would fit into the Toffees team, given the stunning start to the season that the club has enjoyed thus far.

Nonetheless, our landlord thinks that any depth is good depth – and the recruitment of this talented duo could prove vital come the end of the season – when the fixture rate picks up significantly.

A further point put forward by our bar staff is that Everton’s form so far could well lead to a cup run down the road – and extra depth could be vital.

Both 21-years-old, the pair could become stars in the future.
