Everton prepared to table bid for Che Adams - Everton

Everton’s hopes of playing European football still remain within their grasp after a solid run of form in recent weeks. Impressive victories over the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal have seen Marco Silva’s side propel into contention.

However, problem areas still remain at Goodison Park in terms of the squad that they have, but it appears the Toffees could be preparing to make a move for a player who could solve one of those woes they have.

What’s the News?

Everton are preparing to launch a £15million bid for Birmingham City’s Che Adams in the upcoming transfer window, according to a report by Football Insider.

It is claimed the Toffees are looking to beat a number of sides to the signature of the talented 22-year-old, with the likes of Southampton, Burnley and Norwich City all said to be interested.

Everton are understood to have had scouts watch Adams in action on several occasions and have provided the club with glowing references.

The Verdict:

Everton’s need for a striker in the summer is quite clearly obvious as they have found it difficult to replace the void that Romelu Lukaku left when he headed for Manchester United.

However, Adams could be the man for Silva to finally be able to address that problem area of the pitch. The 22-year-old has been in incredible form for Birmingham City this season as he has recorded 22 goals in the Championship so far.

He is also a pacy forward, who could thrive competing against the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin for a place in the team, whilst he would also be able to benefit from having the likes of Richarlison, Bernard and Gylfi Sigurdsson playing balls into him into attacking areas.

Obviously, he is still a raw young talent and is unproven in the Premier League, however, he has shown that he has the ability to be a threat and is likely only going to further improve in the future.

Everton may also have an advantage over their rivals for Adams, as they are continuing their quest to compete for European football, something that Burnley, Southampton and Norwich are not quite doing at the moment.

Everton fans, do you think Adams would be a great addition at Goodison Park? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
