All the talk from Everton fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern of late has been about whether Romelu Lukaku will be signing on a permanent deal at the end of the season.
But now news has reached us from sources at the Daily Mirror, that Roberto Martinez is lining up a potential replacement for the Belgian striker, in the form of Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca.
The 27-year-old has been a revelation in La Liga this season, and recently struck a double as Sevilla picked up a shock victory over Real Madrid.
His form this season has attracted plenty of interest from clubs across Europe, as well as La Liga rivals.
Martinez is keeping tabs on the Colombian forward, as it is becoming increasingly unlikely the club will be able to sign Lukaku on a permanent deal from Chelsea at the end of the season.
The Belgian international has fired 13 Premier League goals for the Toffees this season, but reports suggest Jose Mourinho is looking to sell him abroad in order to raise funds for his own summer spending.
Bacca has been at Sevilla for less than a year however, since joining from Club Brugge for £5 million last summer.
He has taken La Liga by storm in that time, firing 17 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Will Everton be able to hold onto Romelu Lukaku? Will Carlos Bacca be an adequate replacement? Let us know your thoughts below.
