Everton could be on the verge of completing a deal that would improve their squad immediately as the transfer window’s deadline fast approaches.
The Toffees have already landed Richarlison from Watford, Joao Virginia from Arsenal and Lucas Digne from Barcelona.
However, it looks as though Marco Silva is about to land his biggest signing of the summer so far, with one man expected to follow the French defender from the Nou Camp and join the Goodison Park outfit.
According to a report by Sport, the Spanish media publication are claiming that Everton and Barcelona have reached an agreement about the sale of Yerry Mina and are looking to finalise the final details about a 32million euro deal.
Mina would be an excellent addition for Everton this summer as they will need a player that can immediately boost their defence.
The Toffees struggled at the back during last season’s campaign and will have been looking to add younger talents to their ageing back line.
Mina found life tough at Barcelona as he failed to break into Ernesto Valverde’s first-team plans, however, his performances at this summer’s World Cup showed the quality he possesses and Everton will be hoping he can replicate those performances for them in the Premier League.
