Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are quietly hoping for a late surge for the Champions League spots, even though they’d be more than happy with the Europa League this season.
The Toffees are bang in form at the moment and look like a real force to be reckoned with for any side, with plenty of room for them to grow.
Indeed, the emergence of the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies has to be exciting for Toffees fans with the latter a big part of the reason why players like Tom Cleverley have been sent out on loan.
Cleverley has been at Watford since the January transfer window and has been playing regularly at Vicarage Road.
In fact, should he play one more game, he should be in-line to complete a permanent move to the Hornets – according to The Watford Observer.
The deal was that if Cleverley made nine appearances before the end of this season for the club the switch could be made permanent and so the chances are that he will see that happen against Sunderland.
