Everton have been completely redefined under Marco Silva in the current campaign after dealing with the inconsistencies from last season.
The Toffees find themselves in seventh position after four Premier League fixtures, with a European spot being the main aim from here on in. And, it looks as if they’re keeping tabs on an in-demand midfielder, as according to the Daily Star, Everton have sent scouts to top up their dossier on Atletico Madrid’s Gelson Martins.
Indeed, Gelson Martins has earned rave reviews in just his few months in Spain and put Premier League clubs on alert, with Everton being one of the clubs that have sent scouts to top up their dossier on the Portuguese midfielder.
However, the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also sent sent scouts out.
The Toffees won’t want to miss out on securing the services of Gelson Martins but they are one of the underdogs in any potential race as some of the big guns have sent scouts out.
Nevertheless, they’ve already managed to bring the likes of Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, Bernard and Richarlison to the club, so there’s no reason as to why they can’t splash the cash once again.
