Everton will be looking to build upon this year’s poor showing and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting the club to bring in a number of players this summer.
The Toffees had pre-season aspirations of qualifying for the Europa League having spent almost £200million on new additions, however, things went disastrously wrong from the beginning and have ultimately resulted in a disappointing season.
The locals in the bar have been vocal about how they feel their side have performed and will be wanting a number of additions this summer to help rectify the situation, whilst clearing out all of the players they feel are surplus to requirements.
The Sun are claiming that Everton have set their sights on a new striker to add firepower to their team and have identified Karl Toko Ekambi (valued at £10.8 million by Transfermarkt) as the man to help them score more goals. The 25-year-old has hit double figures for Angers in Ligue One, although he has been attracting interest from Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion as well.
A deal could be a viable option as the French side are believed to be willing to cash in on their prolific forward.
The Everton locals in the Tavern will want their side to bring in a number of additions to the team and Toko Ekambi would be considered a good signing to have at Goodison Park. The punters will be wanting to make sure they do not have a repeat of this season.
