Everton's transfer window has been slowly reaching boiling point for a number of weeks now, but a recent report from the Daily Mail suggests they are set to steal the deadline day headlines with a triple swoop for Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Bernard.

Marco Silva has already made a statement of intent in the transfer market this summer by signing Richarlison from Watford and Lucas Digne from Barcelona in two high-profile deals, but with just over four hours to go before the window slams shut it appears he is set to bring in 3 more players, 2 of which follow Digne from the Catalan giants.

Indeed, a report from the Daily Mail claims that Yerry Mina is set to join the club from Barcelona in a deal worth £34 million, whilst the exciting playmaker Andre Gomes will sign on a season-long loan deal.

Both players joining from Barcelona are reportedly expected to complete medicals today, whilst the free agent Bernard completed a medical on Wednesday.

Transfer deadline day typically belongs to top-four clubs who pursue high-profile acquisitions under the spotlight of the international media, but if the latest news from Everton proves to be true there's no doubt that they will emerge as the winners of deadline day.

Not only are Everton completing three deals on the same day, they are bringing in three highly-talented players who possess the quality to make a genuine difference to the Toffees as they bid to break the established order of the top-six Premier League clubs.

With classy ball-playing midfielders Gomes and Bernard both slotting into the starting eleven, the Everton supporters will finally get to see the brand of football which they were crying out for under Sam Allardyce last season, and with a manager of Silva's reputation in charge there's no doubt they're in for an intriguing season characterised by possession-based, attacking football.

Meanwhile, Yerry Mina will provide a sturdy defensive shield to Jordan Pickford's goal with his commanding aerial presence and intelligent reading of the game, whilst his natural threat from set-pieces which he demonstrated during the World Cup with Colombia will certainly give the club a weapon to utilise in the final-third.

In summary, the reported triple deal is one which would represent a huge statement of intent from the Toffees ahead of the new season, and when the dust has settled on deadline day and the window is assessed they will certainly stand out as the club who enjoyed the most productive final day of business.
