Everton will be hoping for a successful season under new manager Marco Silva, and their splashing of the cash this week on Brazilian star Richarlison was  a real signal of intent from the Toffees.

Last season was something of a failure for the Merseysiders, who after some big spending, failed to live up to expectations and had to rely on Sam Allardyce to steer them clear of any real danger by the end of the campaign.

However, we at the Transfer Tavern would like to see the Toffees board back Silva even more, and there's a few players we think would be good additions at Goodison Park, especially a few players who were impressing over in Russia this summer.

One such player who is in the price range that Everton will be looking to spend is Argentina winger Cristian Pavon, who put in some decent displays for his country this summer despite a poor tournament on the whole for Leo Messi and co.

Valued at £18m by Transfermarkt, the tricky winger would no doubt relish a move to the English game from Boca Juniors, and at just 22-years-old, he has plenty of time to develop into a quality player in the Premier League.

While Everton have indeed added the impressive Richarlison, having more attacking options is key, and the signing of someone who is as unpredictable as Pavon is, could well be a masterstroke.

Pavon would bring goals, assists, and excellent workrate to the Toffees, who will be hoping to close the gap to the top six this season.

Everton fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
