Everton fans in the Tavern haven’t had much to smile about this season following the sacking of Ronald Koeman and appointment of Sam Allardyce – the summer transfer window is their glimmer of hope.

The Toffees paid the price for failing to replace Romelu Lukaku who departed Goodison Park for Old Trafford in a £75m move.

Sandro Ramirez arrived but failed to impress and was sent back to Spain on loan, Wayne Rooney hasn’t scored in three months, and Oumar Niasse lacks the ability to lead the line.

Luckily for the Blues, Cenk Tosun joined in January for £25m and added some much-needed firepower to Allardyce’s front line; netting four goals in ten Premier League appearances since moving to England.

More depth up front is needed if Everton are to challenge for Europe again next season and Porto forward, Vincent Aboubakar could be the man to provide the goals.

The 26-year-old has scored 15 goals in 27 appearances in Liga NOS this season as well as five goals in six Champions League appearances and four goals in the Portuguese Cup. He is valued at £16.2m by Transfermarkt.

The Cameroonian international has been likened to Lukaku in the past due to his large frame and playing style. Strong in possession and good in the air, Aboubakar could be the perfect replacement for the Belgian.
