Everton should line up a summer move for this Scottish international star

Everton fans here in the Tavern are excited for another new era under new manager Marco Silva, and will be looking forward to seeing the club bring in some fresh talent this summer.

Last season was a struggle for the Toffees in the main, but with Silva now in charge, things could well take a turn for the better with a squad already rich with talent and bound to add more players to that pool this summer.

Here in the Tavern, our landlord thinks there’s a few proven players who can impress at Goodison, and he thinks the club should make a summer move for current West Ham and Aston Villa loanee, Robert Snodgrass.

The on loan West Ham winger was frozen out at the London Stadium, but was brilliant for Steve Bruce’s men as the Midlanders have mounted a push for promotion. Snodgrass is easily good enough for the top flight and he has shown previously in spells with Hull and Norwich that he can indeed perform at the highest level.

Everton have all too often in the last few years looked abroad and spent big money on players who have simply not paid off, and moving for someone closer to home might well be a wiser strategy this time around.

While Snodgrass is renowned as being a bit of a character, he is certainly a quality player with a wand of a left foot, and could be a shrewd capture for the Toffees.
