Everton should signal their intent with a move for this £21.25m-rated strike ace

Everton have had a decent enough season under Ronald Koeman, and will no doubt be looking to improve next season when the Dutchman will no doubt try and make an assault at the top four.

The Toffees fans here in the Tavern have been in a pretty good mood for most of the season, and spearheaded by their star man Romelu Lukaku, they have found themselves in a good place for the majority of the campaign.

This summer is likely to represent a big change though at Goodison, with Ross Barkley and Lukaku’s futures both under scrutiny, and the club having what looks like plenty of money to spend in the window.

Our landlord has been name dropping one or two players in conversation with the Everton fans at the bar this week, and one player who has raised eyebrows when mentioned is Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro.

Valued at £21.25m by Transfermarkt, the pacey forward has only been with Diego Simeone’s team for a year, but has impressed in the main despite being largely overshadowed by the form of Antoine Griezmann.

However, if Everton want to make a splash in the market and sign an impressive player who can lead the line and bring top level experience to the club, then Gameiro could be the man they need.

His pace, finishing ability, and movement along the front line make him a tricky player for defenders to deal with, and he would certainly be an excellent siging for the Toffees.

Everton fans, agree? Let us know!
