Everton stars unhappy with Marco Silva’s training regime

Everton have had a troubling start to the season once again this year and things could be about to get even more difficult for Marco Silva at Goodison Park.

According to a report by The Sun, the players at the Toffees are thought to have become unhappy with how the Portuguese manager’s training sessions are being handled.

It is claimed that discontent is starting to grow between the players and the boss, who has only been at the club since the summer, as senior players are thought to be leading the concerns.

Many of them believe Silva has them doing too much during his sessions towards preparations for matches, with some believed to be over their heads.

It is also understood that the squad have started to get together and are dropping hints with the management about doing fewer hours and that their tactics should be simpler.

The Verdict:

Everton are on a poor run of form in the Premier League at the moment, having won just one of their opening six matches.

Silva has struggled to get the best out of his players and has watched them suffer defeats to West Ham United and Arsenal in successive weeks.

It will be a worrying concern for the former Watford manager, as managers such as Roberto Martinez and Ronald Koeman tried to do too much during their time at Goodison Park and were ultimately shown the door.
