Whilst the international break was expected to bring a break from daily Premier League breaking news; the Everton fans have not been so lucky…
Nothing like a bizarre story to end your week in the Football Transfer Tavern.
Enner Valencia thought his night was over after coming off in the 82nd minute against Chile, after suffering from altitude sickness.
The Ecuadorian winger appears to have gotten more than he had bargained for however; as according to the Sun a bizarre row exploded off the pitch – whilst the Everton man was still strapped into a stretcher receiving oxygen…
Stemming from a row over failed child support payments, local police reportedly charged onto the field as Valencia was being lead away – and seemingly attempted to confront the player.
In what looks like like a scene from a movie, a report by Ole indicates that police donning riot gear and shields were involved in the altercation – unbelievable stuff!
The Sun are reporting that Valencia is said to owe around £13,000 to the mother of his daughter – all of which he has yet to pay.
See part of the exchange below…
De Ripley. Enner Valencia salió en camilla, casi lo arrestan y lo llevaron con prisa a la ambulancia y así salió del estadio. Que cosas. pic.twitter.com/I7VnAWYLC3
