Everton will host Lincoln City in the FA Cup at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon as they look to start a successful cup campaign.
Marco Silva’s side have struggled to find the back of the net recently in their Premier League matches and the manager could look to use the game against the League Two outfit as a chance for his players to build some much-needed confidence.
However, with the way teams have been utilising their squads in the games within domestic competitions, it is likely he will look to give some of his fringe men and those returning from injuries a chance to get minutes.
The England Under-21 international has been absent with an ankle injury over the last couple of weeks, however, he has since returned to training and is in contention for the visit of Lincoln.
Lookman could be given the opportunity to get some minutes under his belt when Everton face Lincoln on Saturday.
The winger is keen to feature for the Toffees on a regular basis and could use the match to put himself in the forefront of Silva’s mind for future squad selections.
Everton will be wary of a potential cup upset against the League Two table-toppers, although they should have enough quality to ease into the next round of the FA Cup.
